- - - BGF 2017 COURSE UPDATE- - -

DUE TO THE HIGH LEVELS OF WATER AND SPEED OF THE BOISE RIVER WE HAVE HAD TO reroute this year's Boise's Got Faith course!!!

The event will still take place at Julia Davis Park. The route of the "Kids Crazy Sock Fun Run" AND the "5km Walk/Run" have changed.
PLEASE STUDY THE MAP BELOW FOR DETAILS (There will be a copy of this map in everyone's Race Packet)

This year's route is an Out N' Back 0.70 miles. The START and the FINISH is at the Gene Harris Band Shell in Julia Davis Park. From there you will head SE along the road of Julia Davis Drive towards the Boise Zoo. As you get past the Giraffe Exhibit on your left you will TURNAROUND and head back to the Band Shell. Please stay on the road of Julia Davis Drive and not on the Greenbelt.

Kids "Crazy Sock" Run - STARTS @ 2pm - 0.70 miles
5km Walk/Run - STARTS @ 2:30pm - 0.70 miles OR optional 5km distance is 4x current route

We sincerely apologise for any disappointment this year's route creates. Our #1 priority is everyone's safety. The Boise River is just too high and too dangerous right now.

We thank Boise Parks & Rec for working with us on this alternate course.

TAKE CARE, HAVE FUN, AND SEE YOU THIS SUNDAY!

Introducing Boise's Got Faith's 2017 Honorees!

We are so excited to introduce you to our 2017 Honorees:  Lily King and Ryan Crawford!!
Lily King is a tenacious lover of life.  This active 4-year-old dances daily, gardens in tutus, thinks glitter is a color, loves to dress as a mermaid, and has the ability to draw out even the shyest of people.  She lives in Emmett with her mom and her younger sister, Gemma, who she fights with fiercely but loves most ardently. Lily is also in an aggressive battle against cancer.  Lily was diagnosed with leukemia the day before Thanksgiving 2015 and is currently in the maintenance stage of treatment.  Assuming all goes as planned, she is scheduled to complete her treatment Feb. 18, 2018.

Ryan Crawford is a strong, determined 5-year-old who loves anything to do with technology, is starting to show interest in learning to read, and enjoys biology-based documentaries.  This serious, reserved boy is also always happy, often acting as the “family clown.”  Ryan lives in Kuna with his parents, older brother and two younger sisters.  Last February, Ryan was diagnosed with a rare, fast-growing pediatric brain cancer.  In the past year, this little fighter has undergone three craniotomies to remove the tumor, endured 30 rounds of brain and spine radiation, and has just began his fifth of nine rounds of chemotherapy.
Boise’s Got Faith is so honored to be able to come alongside Lily’s and Ryan’s families as they fight this battle against childhood cancer.  100% of the proceeds from this year’s Boise’s Got Faith event will go toward helping their families with expenses related to their child’s battle with cancer.  This year’s even will be held May 7, 2017 at Julia Davis Park in Boise.  Mark your calendars and plan to join us for a fun-filled day!
We thank you for your ongoing love, support, and prayers for these families.  We couldn’t do it without you!!

In Memory of Steve Hall

Steve Hall passed away unexpectedly on December 10th.  Steve's funeral will be held on Friday December 16th at 12pm at the Lakeview Bible Church, 1010 West Greenhurst Road in Nampa.

Boise's Got Faith is a charity that Steve strongly supported.  The family is requesting that people donate to Boise's Got Faith in lieu of sending flowers.
